 Experience this unique and interesting western town which is known for spectacular weather, shopping, fun and recreation. Sisters is located at the foot of the Cascades, and within easy driving distance to Bend and Redmond ( approx 30 minutes). There are many cafes, restaurants, art galleries and specialty shops. Llamas, Elk, and Arabian horses graze on nearby ranches. Sisters borders the Deschutes National Forest, so there are many wilderness trails for hiking, horse-back riding, cross-country skiing, bird-watching, etc. From Sisters Motor Lodge you can walk directly to the Sisters Trail system. Enjoy all of the outdoor activites and events: golf courses, alpine and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fly-fishing, bird-watching, hiking, cycling, boating, water sports, wind surfing, good food, real cowboys and cowgirls, rodeos, quilt shows and jazz festivals. Many Pacific Crest Trail hikers on their way to Mexico or Canada stay here in Sisters. We're just a short drive to the Metolius River Basin, Black Butte, Black Crater, the McKenzie Scenic Highway - Lava Observatory; Deschutes River,Three Creeks Lake,Tam McCarthur Rim, and Smith Rock State Park.
